She is also quite strong and a capable fighter. During her spare time she would do a hundred or more Hindu leg squats and push ups. In the manga, it stated she was bullied in middle school by Kate. Later Mari protects her from Kate's bullying and shows why Meiko is so dedicated to Mari.
