Shouto, harboring a bitter hatred towards his father on account of this, refuses to use his fire powers in battles until [Izuku Midoriya](https://anilist.co/character/89028/Midoriya-Izuku) reminded him of his mother's encouragement. Later, Enji understood his mistakes and told his son he would try to be a better hero and father. He hopes for Shouto and the rest his family to forgive him in the future.
